    Daintree NP

    November 7, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Reunited with Stefanie and Oliver we head North with our campervan.
This is the only place on earth where two world heritage declacered areas come together. First you have the daintree NP where you can find the oldest rainforest on earth, second you have the Great Barrier reef with an unique eco system.
Besides the unique flora there is the impressive fauna. Whilst deadly saltwater crocodiles, sharks, seasnakes and stingers inhabitate the waters, snakes, spiders and other rare species like the cassowaries inhabitate the rainforest.

Kings Canyon & West McDonnell ranges

    October 27, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Kings Canyon is definitely one of the highlight of my travels, the rim walk is highly recommended for enjoying the endless beauty of nature. We stay at a payed camping site with a swimming pool so we can cool down.
In the West Mac donell's ranges we can finally enjoy some natural refreshments, swimming in the ice-cold waters of Ellery creek is a pleasant way to end our trip in the red centre.Read more

    Uluru & Kata tjuta

    October 23, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

We take the plane to Alice Springs and rent another campervan to experience the real outback, from now on Oliver is travelling with us.
After having quite a bit of rainy days and cold nights we thought we would be happy to feel some warmth, but in fact 40 degrees is a bit to much.
Luckely the landscape is absolutely stunning! The 3.6km and 348m high uluru is very impressive as it changes colour during the day. Together with Kata tjuta these are sacred places to the aboriginals of the area.Read more

    September 30, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

I spent my time twice at the beautiful Unesco heritage declared Blue Mountains National Park. Once with Joyce and Lisa and once with Hanne and Stefanie. We do some hikes on the clifftops and down in the valley which is covered with rain forest.

  • Day17

    Road trip Brisbane to Sydney

    September 27, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

The best way to discover the East Coast is by renting a campervan, camping on free sites and cooking our own food on a gascooker. We drive for hours passing little towns like Byron Bay, Nimbing and Coffs Harbour. Hiking in Dorrigo NP and wine tasting in Hunter Valley are also part of our journey.

  • Day12

    Fraser Island

    September 22, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Fraser Island, declared as world heritage, is an unique place to travel to. We had the crazy idea to do a three days hike carrying all of our gear so we could camp at desolated sites. We got dropped off with a 4x4 at the East side of the island and hiked 44km to the West. Lake Wabby, lake Basin and Lake McKenzie where all beautiful in their own way. We didn't see any dingos but instead we saw a echidna, very rare to see, and some huge Goanna lizards. We ended our hike with a beer and a burger.Read more

    Brissie & Straddie

    September 11, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

After working for 8 weeks it feels great to travel again and even better to go direction sun. My main goal in Brisbane is to get totally relaxed so I book an airbnb for a week in camphill. Our great host Richard made our stay very pleasant taking us on the jetski in the city and cooking tasty dinner for us.

It only got better meeting Joyce and Lisa during this week. Happy to see two of my besties and ready to hit the road again, first stop: North Stradbrook Island.
The Island is amazing for spotting wildlife as we saw a koala, a manta Ray, dolphins, kangaroos and jumping humpback whales, all in one day!
