Thira Municipal Unit

This morning we decided to hire a quad bike again to do some more exploring of the island for our last day here. We’ve loved hiring these, so much fun!

📍 Family Bakery for our morning spinach pastry, fruit salad and iced lattes (genuinely love this place 😜)

📍 Kamari beach - drove the quad 15 minutes south east to check out another beach. This one was interesting as the bottom of the water was concrete, still not sure how or why (need to research this). We did the same as last time, got free umbrellas in exchange for eating at one of the restaurants for lunch. We had shared a greek salad + meatballs (food wasn’t too crash hot but it was as very touristy area so was expected)

📍 Rode the quad up the windy roads to the top of Ancient Thera. It was so high with the best views of Kamari and Perissa. Stunning!

📍 Santo Wines for a wine tasting + some local cheeses/produce. These wines were amazing! Loved the oaky whites and the sparkling white. The views of the bay were stunning, loved watching the sunset here (thanks Meggi for the recommendation)

📍 Dinner @ Kafeneio. Second time here, this place is a 2 minute walk from our accom and always packed at night with different musicians playing, so we wanted to try out! I had a chicken and veg dish and Jacques had the pork, really yum. The singing duo were great too!Read more
