    10 de junio de 2024, Tailandia ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

Found out a largish temple was only a few train stops from us. Easy getting tickets. Then on to the Skytrain. An elevated line above the streets. The temple itself was nice without going over the top. Back to our local coffee shop where some nice ladies gave us some limes. 😳On the way back we walked past a Toyota Dealership. Their shrine had Zebras 🦓. 🤔.Leer más

We arrived, after a short flight from Bangkok, in Chiang Mai. From the air and from the ground it looks like a great city. No excessive high rise and plenty of trees. After check in we strolled along the moat and past remnants of the old wall. Great bar with cold beers, water vapour keeping things cool, and Pad Thai.Leer más

  • Pad Thai

    21 de junio de 2024, Tailandia ⋅ ☁️ 34 °C

Cannot go wrong with Pad Thai , the go to dish in Thailand.Leer más

  • Elephants

Today, Lynne took a tour to an elephant sanctuary. She made sure it was ethical. No riding, chains etc. this sanctuary takes elephants primarily from farmers in the logging trade. Because they have grown up amongst humans, they can’t be released into the wild. At least they can live out their lives in relative peace. They particularly like to be fed sugar cane from the guests.Leer más
