Hello Florida. She welcomed us with amazing weather. Toured another coastal fort and another lighthouse. There seems to be a trend. Finishing today with my valentine with our beach campsite.

Lightner Museum

The building itself was a pure masterpiece. Former hotel and health spa. Has since been renovated and used as a wonderful museum. Very interesting collection.

Cape of Florida Lighthouse

Very beautiful lighthouse. Great drive along the coast and beaches. Trip out there was capped off with an amazing view of Miami.
South Beach

THE South Beach. Wonderful vibe. Great people watching. Cool art deco architecture.

This place was crazy cool. Every nook and cranny has been used by local artist to show off their unique talents!

Key West has lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Fabulous weather, drinks, more drinks, sites, people watching, etc.
Birthday Relaxation

We have been blowing and going through South Florida. We took a couple of days off to relax. Very small state park with a very interesting piece of machinery and history.
Desoto National Memorial

This was the landing spot for the Spanish explorer Desoto in 1539. Neat hiking trails on the water. Also, a couple of other random sights in Sarasota.
Ringling Brothers Ca’D’Zan

Did you ever go to the circus? If so, you helped build this amazing summer home and art gallery for the Ringling Brothers. Absolutely breathtaking!
Mable’s Garden

Continuation of the Ringling Estate grounds and gardens. Beautiful.

If you like blue and clear water…this is the place for you. Unfortunately, no manatees today.

Neat place tucked away in the salt marshes of the gulf. Had a little seafood feast.
Rainbow River Springs

A very, very cool 72 degrees all year. It was crystal clear water that you could see bubbling from the sand river bed.

St. Marks Lighthouse & Wildlife Refuge

Neat spot on the cusp of the panhandle. Not as much wildlife as what we were hoping for. But, they were having a prescribed burn today.
The Forgotten Coast

Very secluded portion of the Florida Coast. Heavy winds made for some poor water conditions. However, we spotted our first bald eagle.
Georgia’s Little Grand Canyon

Providence Canyon State Park is a very unique land formation for this eastern region. We explored the entire rim and two of the gullies. Beautiful colors!
