We knew they drove on the wrong side of the road over here but actually driving on it is little challenging. Gordon and I are both inexplicably running off the road to the left.

ПутешественникYou said it!! It's really unbelievable. Italy was tight but somehow this seems tighter. But the drivers are at least friendly and considerate. When you meet someone, the person who thinks they can reach a little wide spot either forward or in back flashes their lights at the other. Then the non-flasher oozes forward til you are about an inch apart and you hope for the best. Then you wave at each other. And let out the breath you've been holding.

ПутешественникThese photos make us wigs we'd brought our real camera. The landscapes are so beautiful and really require a zoom to capture without pixilation. On this drive I felt I'd woken up in a John Constable painting.

ПутешественникWe are in the far left lane. The SLOW lane. Which sets off all kinds of internal alarms to start with. Trying very hard not to run off the road because our positional sense if where the car is in the lane is completely off. At this point Gordon is getting more confident. I have been letting him drive which may be a big mistake as I will have to drive again sometime.
