today we went hiking at the batería de cenizas, also known as C-9. it's a coastal artillery support fortification located on the cenizas mountain and was declared an asset of cultural interest in 1997. it was built and armed between 1930 and 1934 and was powerful enough to fire a nearly one-tonne projectile 35 kilometers. its task was to protect the entrance to the bay of cartagena together with its twin, the castillitos battery located on cape tiñoso.
so we went on a round of 7km lenght and 280 meters in altitude, which took about 2,5 hours (including looking around at the battery). a nice tour but a bit shady and the last 2km went on the old roman road (calzada romana) where i did not like the "paving", a mess to walk on... so, this tour has some drawbacks but nevertheless i would recommend it...Read more

TravelerWir waren auf der anderen Seite bei den Kanonen, da ist auch ein tolle Fort und Gänge und wir waren auch unter den Kanonen 😉 sehr cool 🤩 um anzugucken 🙊

almost every day i take the time to do yoga 🧘. i love yoga for over 10 year now but i never incorporated it as continuously as now. so i brought my sheepskin yoga mat and my non-slip mat. depending on the wind 🌬️and weather 🌞 i switch between beach, balcony and upper sleeping room. i hope i can keep this habit when i go back home - it's only one hour but it makes me feel soooooooo good ❤️.Read more

Cala del Cuervo, Calblanque, Spain

today's swimming 🏊 in the cristal clear water 🌊 was hmmm, let's say "refreshing" 🤪 and balm to my soul ❤️.
we went (once again) hiking in parque regional de calblanque on a round of 7km length and 150 meters in altitude to cala del cuervo. it took about 2 hours without break but for sure we took one in the calla and i jumped into the water. it was soooooo wonderful - *sight*
but before we got there, we went through urbanización campo de golf. that was the weirdest thing i've done in a long time - and i do a lot of weird things... thousands of cloned golf houses next to each other, many inhabited, there were cars and golf carts parked in front of them, but everything was as quiet and deserted as a graveyard. no music, no laughing not even any voice 😳 aaaand an empty golf course... how lucky am i that i do NOT play golf - phew!Read more

this was the nicest hike in this area so far! ❤️❤️❤️ we went over punta del hacho and cala del muerto to punta parreno and back in a round. i totally can understand why they call it cala del muerto ☠️...
officially there was no path at one point and all in all it was a tricky terrain (drop offs and slidy underground) but it was amazing! only 4km long, 170m in altitude and 2hours but every meter was stunning 🤩. this time i planned the path myself upfront in outdooractive (and published it) and it was a big advantage, that i know the area by now. this hike leaves me with a biiiiiig smile on my face ☺️.Read more
