    Summer? Spain

    today our morning walk felt like the beginning of summer - this light blue all over ❤️ - i will miss this a lot. today there is almost no wind so it is getting hot in the sun 🌞. since the water 🌊 is still 16° i did not jump in, maybe this afternoon... it's still quite lonely here although the people are getting more. here at the end of the land bridge it's still quiet but 3km further up you start to see more and more people, more and more cars, more and more traffic, more and more construction and more and more caravans. we're not going to stay much longer - rainers birthday is in 3 days and then maybe another 2 days... after that we will head north and i'm pretty sure i will miss this wonderful light blue 😍.Meer informatie

    today was one of these rare cloudy 🌥️ days which did not invite us to go for a hike. so we just drove 🚙 with no special direction in mind and ended up in the harbor of portmán 🛥. this is a weird place since the village itself consist in parts of holiday apartments 🏘️ but the harbor does not remind me of tourists 😜. the same counts for the restaurant we found. i think it's one of the last fisherman places you can find here. since they reconstruct the whole area since 2017 - they fucked up this area with poisonous mining - i assume the fishermen 🐟 will be gone soon and replaced by a marina or whatever, they already built a promenade. this is one of these strange situations when you find such a contradictory place, do some research and a whole history dating back to the romans pop up (they started the mining here back then). life is a lucky bag 🎉.Meer informatie

    Last Hike In Paradise, Spain

    this was our last hike 🚶 here in spain. tomorrow we're packing 👜 our stuff & cleaning up 🧽 and the day after we will jump in the van 🚐 and drive direction north. i shouldn't have checked the weather 😜 but since we sleep 🛌 in the van without heating... so wish us luck for the next 2600km to come.Meer informatie

    today 🌅 we hit the road 🛣️ - if it runs smooth we will say bye bye spain 🇪🇸 and hello france 🇫🇷 . recently we passed blooming almond 🌸 & orange 🍊 plantations. i will definitely miss the sun ☀️ and the temperatures 🌡️ but even more i will miss 😢 the morning walks & hikes by the see 🌊 and the sundowner 🍸 at the beach 🌴.Meer informatie

    i was looking forward so much to this part of the trip 😋. french sheep cheese 🧀❤️. i know this area since over 35 years and i've been climbing in dry caves back then. when i'm around here i need tp buy cheeeeeeeeese. so we stopped by a cheese cooperation and well... bought too much cheese of course 😂.Meer informatie

    yesterday we managed to leave spain and enter france. we found a nice place to stay over night in the pyrenees not far from the border. i thought it is a good move to get the first border done - corona times... so we started in the french pyrenees this morning, went over the stunning bridge in milleau, bought some cheese near roquefort and passed through the ardeche. what a lovely route! all passes where open but we still found some snow ❄️. we still have to go through lyon and i hate the traffic there. but hey if that's the only drawback 😜…Meer informatie

    everything went smooth today... after a cappuccino ☕, croissant 🥐 & pain au chocolat we hit the road over besançon and belfort through jura mountains 🏞️, where we needed to taste some more of our new cheese 🧀 (hmmm maybe we should have bought even more 🤔). then we went through alsace - bought some more cheese 😬 and went on to the black forest 🏔️. on our way there we drove over the palmrain bridge. i always find it fascinating to imagine that not far from the bridge, in the middle of the rhine, france, germany and switzerland "collide".
    arrived in black forest, we met my two brothers and my sister in law for some coffee and a snack. for sure we brought some yummy stuff for my brother from spain 😋...
    and since the sun ☀️ was shining the whole day and still was, we decided to add some more kilometers and if we're lucky we might end up somewhere around frankfurt... we will see. so today was a very varying day - i ❤️ road days like this...    Meer informatie

    -5° ❄️🥶 tonight - but with our two thick blankets it was unbelievably warm 😊✌️. so this morning we started into the sunrise 🌄 with only little problems... our handbrake was frozen. well after 6 weeks of sundowner 🍸at the beach 🌴 we didn't think of that 😂. but i have a superman 🦸 with me, who fixed that within 15 minutes. so now we drive through winter wonder land 🏔️ and every minute we're getting closer to our oven 🔥.Meer informatie
