Paignton

Paignton was a good breakfast stop, feels a little tacky in places but overall, again, I'd say it's a nice place. Also the only other place in the world other than Poole with a Splashdown apparently?!
Torquay

I'ma walkie Torquay. Which way is it to the Fawlty Towers hotel?
This journey is quickly degenerating into just number of ferries vs number of wetherspoons. Can actually draw quite a lot of Czytaj więcej
Teignmouth

To be honest I barely knew Teignmouth was a place, but it's quite a pleasant town. Another stalemate between team ferry and team wetherspoons though, as it has both. In fact, the ferry I took from Czytaj więcej
Dawlish

An epic cobbled path runs between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren, with train tracks on one side below the red cliffs and the sea on the other. A really fun part of the walk. A fella just shook my hand Czytaj więcej
Starcross

Expected to see Starcross lovers but there's just grumpy old men.
Blow for team ferry as I've decided there's no place for me to stay this side of the River Exe. And since there's no ferry at this Czytaj więcej
Exmouth

If there's one thing I learnt about Exmouth in my passing glance is that everyone there drives maniacally aggressively.
Pitch 14

It's been quite a weird day. Other than a guy in the pub talking to me (who clearly had some problems and kept doing the creepy madeye moody lick of the lips), I've not actually met anyone all day. It Czytaj więcej
Budleigh Salterton

The change in terrain is very apparent this morning, as the coast now resembles a very Dorset-y nature. Fewer but much larger and steeper ups and downs with large cliffs between little settlements
Sidmouth

Weather's a whole lot bloody hotter,
Diverted all round the river Otter,
Gonna have scars like Harry Potter,

Pitch 15

I'm done with moving for today.
Edit: Hahahahah I just woke up to a herd of cows licking my tent. During all their snuffling and nibbling, one of them definitely licked me on the head through the Czytaj więcej
Seaton

So after a rather interesting altercation with some cows last night (check my last post), I ended up enjoying the night on a bench under the stars. There was a beautiful sunrise but pictures didn't Czytaj więcej
Lyme Regis

I got us an 8:30 res at Dorsetia.
The path to Lyme weaved and undulated through a thick rainforest-like undercliff microclimate, as birdsong rained from above. It was a pleasant change of terrain and Czytaj więcej
Pitch 16

Feels good to be in familiar territory. Golden Cap is not only the highest point on the whole of the south coast, but possibly even the highest point in the entire planet (debated). If any cows fancy Czytaj więcej
West Bay

Big Jez man came out to join me for a 3 mile stretch this morning between Seatown and West Bay. Some lovely views of the cliffs from Thorncombe Beacon.
Pitches 17 & 18

After my parents took their leave at Burton Bradstock I made up some solid mileage until a really difficult mile long stretch along the shingle of Chesil beach. To me, sinking into the pebbles is far Czytaj więcej
Portland Bill

Portland has far too many cars, and far too few coast path signs. There are some incredible cliffs though, particularly on the west side of the island but the path does get incredibly convoluted and Czytaj więcej
Weymouth

Holy shit I'm actually in Weymouth. I didn't even realise but that means I've not only walked 300 miles from Penzance, but 317 miles. I've eaten 17 ice creams today which I reckon is a personal best. Czytaj więcej
Lulworth Cove

Despite the clouds it's deceptively hot today. But I have to say, without try to sound like a complete bastard, I've been making outrageous progress considering the terrain. I've practically been Czytaj więcej
Worth Matravers

Well I stand humbled, am truly exhausted. By pure coincidence I arrived at Lulworth ranges at exactly the right time to enter, had I been a day or two out I'd have been in a real predicament. Despite Czytaj więcej
Pitch 19

Climbers are a weird breed aren't they, there's loads of them here so as well as being sheltered from the wind and storms tonight, I won't be alone either which is actually quite nice. Apparently an Czytaj więcej

PodróżnikPaignton is rather grubby. The prettiest bits imo are definitely broadsands and elberry. The rest is groccle territory, should be avoided at all costs
