Took a tour of Regensburg this morning. Had to detour around the cathedral as it was on fire. They are having a local beer festival in the market square today. The city is 2000 years old (Roman) andWeiterlesen
Enjoyed a night of entertainment of Balvarian folk music. This morning got off the ship at Passau for a bus trip to Salzburg. Will rejoin the ship at Linz
Did a 'Sound of Music' tour around Salzburg, then some free time to check out the castle and churches. Travelled to Linz vie Moon Lake to see the church that was used for the Sound of Music wedding.Weiterlesen
After returning to the ship, had dinner then went for a short walk to the city square
This morning we went on a guided tour of the Benedictine Monastry in Melk. After lunch we travelled along a very scenic section of the Danube to Durnstein
Climbed up to Durnstein castle where Richard the Lion Heart was kept captive. Then we explored the town and had an apricot dumpling.
Started the day with an ANZAC dawn service. Then took a tour of the Capital of Austria. Back on the ship we did a Viennese waltz in Vienna, on the Danube. In the evening we went to a Viennese concert.Weiterlesen
