A little too far from Yellowstone to camp here, but pretty neat. We spotted a bear cub, take off on the hillside and run to the trees. Its mother was probably there. No time to take a shot.

Tonight's camping ground was alongside "Big Creek" which flows into the Yellowstone River. We camped about 15 miles off Gardiner Road.

We got an opportunity to watch a wolf hunt two pronghorn for at least 30 minutes. A very "David Attenborough" moment.
Yellowstone | Petrified Tree

This tree is anatomically identifical to living Redwoods, but was petrified about 50 million years ago, when it got encased in volcanic discharge, and silica filled all it's cells.
