Managed to squeeze in the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum (with guides and audio guide) in one day.
I focused on the part of the Rijksmuseum that covered the golden age of Dutch supremacy and theMeer informatie
After a quick look at the free bits of the Amsterdam Science Museum while waiting for the train, we headed off from Amsterdam to Paris , arrived at the airbnb pla e and found it a little meh butMeer informatie
Spent the day in the Montmartre district of Paris which used to be it's own little town around a hill outside Paris's walls where the stuffy Parisians could go to to let their hair down , this isMeer informatie
The Palace of Versailles! We started with a guided tour of the Kings private apartments that are not open to the public and are even kept shut out from the sunlight, when people aren't in the rooms ,Meer informatie
The Louvre
We got into the Louvre via the shopping mall/ metro entrance that skips all the crowds and then used Rick Steves audio guide to do a greatest hits tour and then went to the castle ruinsMeer informatie
Notre Dame
We went and took a walking tour of Notre Dame and the surrounding area, aside from the Cathedral itself we got to see a little neighborhood that used tombstones for staira, a police stationMeer informatie
We slept in a bit and headed to the Eiffel Tower after I needed to get some new shoes, our much with the weather ran out so it was quite rainy and cloudy but a decent capstone to the Paris section ofMeer informatie
We took the train from Paris and then headed to Switzerland ,
We stopped at Basel and Zurich but there was too much rain to walk around much or see the scenery.
We then headed to Thalwil to stay overMeer informatie
From Thalwil we headed to Lucern, took a walk around town to see the sites, lost an umbrella, walked the 500 year old fort walls and saw the famous Lion sculpture.
