Visiting Whitby Abbey ruins

We hopped off the sightseeing bus to visit Whitby Abbey. We are members of English Heritage so it didn't cost us anything to go in.

Before heading back into town, we stopped at Whitby Brewery. Their pale ale 🍺 is delicious! It tasted even better with the Abbey ruins as a backdrop!

Whitby's 199 steps

We saw Whitby's famous 199 steps from the top in the graveyard of St.Mary's church, and from the bottom in the town. We didn't venture up or down them today. Perhaps another day?! 😊
A boat trip out into the North Sea
