    Bangkok Monday H3 #2201

    2 Mart, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 37 °C

Today, we celebrated run 2200, and it was an exciting event. Lots of visitors, I think we had over 60 turn up, which is more than twice our normal attendance. Trail was over on the peninsula on the other side of the Chao Phraya River, so lots of greenery on trail.
Circle was raucous, with lots of chatter, so hard to follow, but all in fun. Many thanks to Nibbles as the GM and hare, and the other organizers.

  • Bangkok H3 2500.1 - Hangover Trail

    1 Mart, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 34 °C

The steamy summer season has arrived here in Bangkok, and every day is hotter than HELL. We met for a hangover trail today at NOON, and it was HOT. But, we still managed 7 kms of sweaty joy running through Chinatown.

It was an A to B trail, ending right on the river shore, where we had cool breezes, aided by cold beer, to cool us off. Another great day on the hash.

    28 Şubat, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 35 °C

I doubt Bill Panton was even thinking about the 2500th run when he started this club back in 1977, but here we are. It was super hot today, but we all still managed to complete the 9 km trail through the open fields of Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand.
We had about 80 hashers turn up for this wonderous occasion, and the trail, circle, and dinner were all well organized and fun. None of us will be alive for the 5000th hash, so hope we all made the most of today. On On.

    26 Şubat, Tayland ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

It was my turn to hare, so set a 6.5 km walking trail, with an extended runner's trail that was a full 9 kms. It was a hot and sunny day, and during trail it was fine. The rain eventually came after we all had made our way back home. It was a fun day, and all 30+ hashers that attended seemed to enjoy trail. On OnOkumaya devam et

    25 Şubat, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

We started from the same place as the trail on Saturday, fortunately the trail was mostly different (but did cross the old trail a couple times). It was a nice, warm evening, and the pack of 35 was ready for the adventure. The start had a bit of street, but we soon hit the khlong paths and made our way around the On Nut area.

Circle had a few laughs, with all the visitors in town for the event weekend. Somehow, some way, can you believe it, ended up as TOTW. Whatever?!?!? 🙂

Now it is my turn, I will be haring the Bangkok Thursday H3 tonight. On On

    23 Şubat, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

While today was the actual 2200 run, we will be celebrating it next week since the GM has pissed off on vacation to Bhutan. 🙂

We had a fun trail today, as we skirted in and out of the campuses of several local universities and colleges. It was a well marked trail, but since you could see a long way in all directions, the pack did a whole lot of shortcutting towards the direction the pack was going. IN the end, we all finished, with a smile on our face . . . and a cold beer in our hands. What a great day to be alive.Okumaya devam et

  • Siam Sunday H3 #650

    22 Şubat, Tayland ⋅ ☀️ 32 °C

Some relatively new terrain, even for the Bangkok old timers . . . and a well marked, fun trail through many fields and khlong paths. True trail was about 7.5 kms, but I had my weekend Garmin challenge to cover for a 10 K, so did a bit of extra scurrying around. Brought along a couple visitors from Tampa, so they had their first exposure to Thailand hashing, and had a blast. Well done to them.

Circle was casual and funny, always a good time. Tomorrow's another day, and in Bangkok, its another hash. See you then.

One week away from the big 2500 trail weekend of events, but we still had time for fun at 2499. Noriega strapped on the paper sack and set a trail around On Nut. It was a well marked trail, and mostly interesting, except that one km long section on the sidewalk along the 8 lane highway . . . deafeningly noisy. 🙂

Overall, another great day on the hash.

Yes Yes . . . its good to be back. Tonight we had a city run, with mostly streets and sidewalk, but it did have some good khlong paths intermixed with fun night time in the dark running. I was feeling good, but no pictures on trail . . . was clicking off 8 min kms while looking down every side street for a possible turn . . . which there were few, but you have to keep looking. It was a fun night run.

Circle was a hoot, as we were crammed into a small craft beer shop, all 25 + of us, and the hares shouted us for some pizzas. Another great night on the hash. Friday is a scouting day, then next trail on Saturday. On On!!!

  • Ecuador Nash Hash - Hangover Trail

    15 Şubat, Ekvador ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

Well, not really the hangover trail per se, but we did have a trail on Sunday morning . . . the FIT TITS H3 had a stroll about Cuenca, with a pizza party to follow provided by the Nash Hash.

As a wrap up, the whole weekend of the Inaugural Ecuador Nash Hash was brilliant. We dodged a few rain drops, but overall we had excellent weather. The food was well organized, and the main event trail was amazing.

Here are a few more random photos of the weekend.

  • Inaugural Ecuador Nash Hash

    14 Şubat, Ekvador ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

We are here in Cuenca, Ecuador for this auspicious event hosted by the Cuenca Alpaca H3. About 60 hashers turned up, some prelubed over in Playas and/or Quito over the past week, but we are full on here in Cuenca now. I had the good fun to team up with Circle Jerk to hare three trails yesterday (Long, Medium, and Short), and ran along with the LONG runners today. There was quite a bit of climbing, so everyone earned their beer today. Two hasher (Special Needs and Panty Ho) took the “optional climb” part to the extreme, and ran all the way over the mountain, then had to run back. In another freak turn of events, H2Ho ran through a clearly marked FALSE TRAIL and ended up running 2 kms of marked trail that we were unable to use due to unforeseen circumstances. We had to call out the rescue party, and that took a couple extra hours to bring her back in . . . but at least someone actually got to see that part of trail. 😊

Circle was yet another international affair, with several countries represented. Canada sported the largest turnout, and most of them were from Ottawa. We then came back and got cleaned up, dressed in warm togs, and headed back to the venue for a BBQ dinner and dancing. Weather looks like rain tomorrow, so the planned trip to the mountains may not be especially enchanting . . . but we’ll see. Overall, this has been an amazing Inaugural event here in Ecuador (and it may be the last Nash Hash, since there are currently no other hash clubs in the country). Well done to the organizers.

  • Mutiny H3 #3

    6 Şubat, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ⋅ 🌙 13 °C

Back to hare another one for this fledgling hash club. Due to a minor medical concern, I had to prelay this one, but is a good example of how to set a LIVE trail that includes a walker cutoff to provide a shorter trail for those that want to walk.

After scouting on Wednesday, was able to find some good off pavement options deep in the city. The second trail map shows how the walkers got a shorter trail, and how I set it by only adding a few hundred meters of steps (which normally would have been running). Overall, running trail was about 4 miles, walkers about 2 . . . but set both options with less than 4.5 miles for me.

It has been rather cold down here in Florida this past week, so had to bundle up a bit . . . still good hashing.

  • Traveling Beer Drinkers H3 – 2026

    30 Ocak, Saint Martin ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Traveling Beer Drinkers H3 – 2026 – Saint Martin (the north side of the island)

This was a near repeat of a trail I set here back in 2019, at Orient Beach . . . yea, the nude beach. We had about 50 hasher join us, but only a few of us were daring enough to bare it all on the beach with 400 of our closest friends that we’ve never met before.

Tight Lips was the lead hare, Gockel Stumper was the bus organizer, and I chipped in with setting the runners trail. Trail was all clothed, as the walkers had a nice stroll around the lake, while the runners got an extra couple miles up and over, hither and fro. It seems we have all made it back to the ship, so all is good. Another great day at the beach . . . and of course, great hashing.

  • TBD H3 – Cruise 2026 - Barbados

    28 Ocak, Barbados ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Seems this pack is getting worn down pretty early, as only 35 hashers turned up for the run. A few did go diving, but many just went into full vacation mode and skipped out. Or maybe it was because I was the hare. Oh well.

For those that did make it, we enjoyed a 5 km walking, and 7 km running trail, with plenty of tiny alleyways, bridge crossings, and grassy fields on the way to a beer stop across the street from Rhianna's childhood home, and plenty of beer at the on in.

    27 Ocak, Antigua ve Barbuda ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Old Buffalo H3 #1 (Trail 2 of the TBD H3 Caribbean Cruise)

The Old Buffalos have been a strictly social hash club up until today, when we had our first actual trail. It was a scamper through the local streets and alleyways from the port in St. Johns and headed north to a beach cabana where the pack was able to get in the water.

Trail started at the port, and after about the first km, there was a runner / walker split that gave the runners a bit more interesting and distant option to see the sights. There was a beer stop at about 5 kms where the two trails met up, then we all finished up the final 3.5 kms to the beach. I was one of the running hares to the beer stop, then was drafted again to finish up the final leg to the beach. After we all got our dose of vitamin D, and probably plenty of sun burned backs and shoulders, we made our way back to the boat for an on board cocktail party. As you might expect, it was a great day on the hash.

No one has posted many pictures of the trail unfortunately, and I did not take any while I was setting . . . but there are al couple below that give a sense of the surroundings.

  • Traveling Beer Drinkers H3 – Cruise 2026

    26 Ocak, İngiliz Virgin Adaları ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Yesterday it was off one ship, and on to another . . . Princess Cruise Line vs Norwegian . . . so far, Princess is hands down the better cruise line. We’ll see how the rest of the week goes.

Our first stop on this cruise was Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands. Trail today was a short 5 kms through town, and up the side of the mountain range there close to the shore. Looked like we had pretty much the whole 70 hashers out today, big crowd. We started at the “Watering Hole” Pub, but soon enough we were out on the streets looking for flour. It was all flat . . . until it wasn’t . . . then it was up up up for what seemed like 12 minutes, but was probably only 10. Our delightful hares found us some shiggy, and then we finished down at the pier near our big white UBER ship. A good start to another fun week of hashing in the Caribbean.Okumaya devam et

    25 Ocak, Porto Riko ⋅ 🌬 28 °C

No hash today, but we returned to Puerto Rico for the end of the InterCaribbean Hash cruise, and for about a dozen of us . . . we had a few hours to kill before boarding our Norwegian Cruise with the Traveling Beer Drinkers H3 cruise.

I decided to walk the 6 kms for a little exercise, with a short off at McDonald's along with way, with Rongjon.

  • InterCaribbean Hash – Day 6

    23 Ocak, Barbados ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

We are on Barbados today, and although I had been out in the sun all week, today I get sunburned. No worries though, I understand beer soothes all pains. We had a long walk off the pier this morning to get things started, but soon enough we were on our way for the longest hash trail of the week, at 5.55 kms. That makes an accumulated 28 kms for the week of 6 hash runs (would have easily been 35-45 kms back in Bangkok).
The Barbados H3 graciously hosted us today . . . setting trail, organizing the beer stop and on-in. We circled up at a local craft brewery (Carlisle), where many hashers partook of the local hand crafted options (the local piss was waaaaay cheaper, so most of us enjoyed that, as we did in circle as well). We had 3 virgins on this trail, two from Jamaica and one from Barbados . . . obviously they got to experience their first down down. An attempt was made to name our cruise virgin, who has now run 5 hash trails in 5 different countries to start his hashing career . . . but nothing good came of it, so we tabled that naming until the pub crawl onboard the ship, tomorrow.

That’s it folks . . . we are back on board for the next 40 hours until we return to San Juan. Some of us will be making our way the short distance between this Princess cruise ship, over to a Norwegian cruise ship, and do it all over again next week. Yay!!

For me, this makes 8 countries I have hashed in already for 2026, gettin' jiggy with it so far.

  • InterCaribbean Hash – Day 5

    22 Ocak, Dominika ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

We have arrived on the island of Dominica, and there is no hash here . . . BUT, there is a hasher here, formerly of the Barbados H3. Anytime the Barbados hashers come to Dominica, they call on Semen to set up a trail. When we came off the ship this morning, it was raining, and according the Semen, she set the trail yesterday and it rained all night . . . SO, she was not sure how well the marks (marked with flour) survived. We would soon find out, as she sent us across the street and up the hill. Some of the marks were large, and fared pretty well, but others were likely lost to the rain drops. We managed to find our way around, probably skipped some bits of trail as we meandered back and forth, but the beer was waiting at the end, so nothing was going to stop us.

Semen said the trail was going to be short, but even with a couple of long searching episodes, I still came in at just about 2 miles (3.2 kms). Being old, and in need of a bit more exercise to work off yesterday’s hangover (see what I did there, invoked at least two of the championing requirements of hashing), I set off for another lap, that got me up to at least 3.5 miles on the day. I returned just moments before circle was to start, and we prepared to work on today’s hangover. Circle was a hoot, with lots of good participation. We have several hashers from Guyana with us, and they all wear the same shirts on each day, most of them especially made for this cruise. They have had group down downs every day so far, that’ll teach them. 😊 Overall, we have a lovely international group of hashers from far and wide.

We have only one more day on shore for trail, in Barbados tomorrow, then we finish with one day at sea on Saturday, then sadly we have to say goodbye, but will have loads of good memories. Many thanks to China Brush and Barron Toungess for hosting the grand adventure.

  • InterCaribbean Hash – Day 4

    21 Ocak, Antigua ve Barbuda ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

We pulled into St John’s early this morning, and were immediately swept away by the local Antigua H3. We arrived at 8 am, and by 9 am we were on our way down the coast to one of their excellent run sites. After a quick chalk talk, we were headed to the closest mountain to climb over. The runners had a 5 km stomp up over, while the walkers had a flat saunter back to the beach.

Circle was short, but rowdy, as several of the pack had to be back at the port for an island excursion. The rest of us enjoyed the hospitality of the port bars, or back on board the ship. It was a great day on the hash, and cheers to the Antigua H3 for hosting us. On On!!

  • InterCaribbean Hash - Day 3

    20 Ocak, Sint Maarten ⋅ 🌬 26 °C

We are on Sint Maarten today, and lovin' every minute of it. Excellent island trail today, hared by a couple hashers that flew over from Barbados . . . just to set this trail. Hats off to them. It was a rather short trail of just under 5 kms, but they managed to find a wee bit of shiggy for us, NICE!!
Circle was on the port, at Sharkey's, and with at least 6 major cruise ships in port, it was hard to find a corner that was out of the way where we would not offend any other pedestrians (but we managed). Another great day on the hash . . . tomorrow, yet another opportunity to disgrace ourselves in public. 🙂

  • InterCaribbean Hash - Day 2

    19 Ocak, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Virgin Adaları ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

We spent the day getting on the boat yesterday, so we traveled over night to our first destination here on St Thomas. We made it pierside at 8 am, and off we go for an 8:30 am start.

It was the Moon and the gang from Pittsburg haring a 5 km jaunt up along the coast. After an appropriate wait time, we were off on the run. The first check exiting the port had a few of us turned around, but we eventually sorted things out. The walkers stayed along the water, while the runners took a few deviant turns along the way until we all merged just before the pub for down downs. Circle was adorned with lots of laughs and songs, and by 11 am we were all off on our own for the day.
It was a nice hot morning, but by the time we finished trail, the sky was starting to frown on us. It has since rained a good bit, so our marks have all been washed away neatly, like we were never here. 🙂

  • InterCaribbean Hash - Day 0

    17 Ocak, Porto Riko ⋅ 🌬 28 °C

The gang of about 120 is mustering here in San Juan, Puerto Rico this weekend. We had about 50 or so on trail this afternoon for a rare running of the Puerto Rico H3. Trail had a runner (7 km) / walker (2 km) split, and a combo split that I ended up doing of about 4.5 kms since I turned up late. We have two hotels, and mine is about 10 kms away from the main hotel. Trail started at 1600, and we could not check in until 1600, so had to cram it all in . . . but we made it work.

After trail, we did some nostalgia drinking at the Caribe Hilton, where it is legend that the Pina Colada was first created there . . . so a few of us wandered over to check it out. Interesting, but they price it as a one and done, so we did not stay long. Dinner was in order, and we ate and drank our way till time for bed. We are headed to our Princess cruise ship in the morning, for a week of "Let's Find Out." Sure to be fun.

  • Sarasota Circus H3 #360 After the jet la

    11 Ocak, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ⋅ 🌙 20 °C

After the jet lag crushed me on Saturday, I got a great night's sleep. So today I ventured south to Sarasota for the Circus H3. It's about a 70 mile drive, but mostly interstate, so only about an hour drive.

Disappointing turnout, only one hare and two runners, but we made the most of this 7 km trail. Well, true trail was probably only about 5 Kms or a bit more, but with only two checking, we had to do a lot of work. The weather was awesome, so an extra delightful day on trail. It was my 40th trail with this club, and it has taken me over 13 years to make that mark.

No pictures on trail, was busy looking for it. 🙂
