Singapore Layover

Arriving in Singapore has always been a delight. Nothing is more joyful than seeing your homies after a long travel away from home. I arrived at pretty odd timing in Changi Airport and I had to wait for my friend who’s offering me a place to stay for the night. So I hopped on the cinema at T3 to watch some movie and hopefully some sleep.
We went for a family dinner with my friends the evening after and had a great catch up. That meal was so good it heals my homesick instantly of a good Asian food. And I didn’t forget to get my favorite meal “Ma La” which is ironically is the only spicy food available in town that is spicy enough for my taste.
I left pretty early in the day for my 7PM flight since I just got a first class ticket to Mumbai. Gurl is finally getting away from economy, y’all!
The first class lounge of Singapore Airlines is divided into two sections, the Private Room (reserved for first class passengers) and the First Class Lounge (available for PPS Solitaire members). I obviously spent more time on the former since they have food on demand as opposed to buffet food and much better wine and champagne. I also checked out the Silverkris Lounge which is reserved for the business class passengers and PPS Club members (one tier lower than PPS Solitaire). I missed checking out the Krisflyer Gold lounge which is the only lounge you can enter if you have a gold status on your Krisflyer.
The private room is by far has the most premium (obviously) but sadly it’s inward facing, so you can’t do any plane spotting from the lounge, which is OK since you can just hop on to the Silverkris lounge where they have a dedicated spot for plane spotter.
Enough about lounge, it’s time to board the big bird, A380. where I will be sitting at Suite 1A. Purser greeted me by name and led me to my seat and and introduced herself to me.
After series of meal and countless of champagne glasses, I asked the flight attendant to make my bed. I also change mg clothes to the Iconic Lalique PJ they give to all 1st class passengers.
It was the shortest 4 hours i have ever experienced, after watching half of Deadpool, we landed in Mumbai International Airport.Read more
