Bye Bye Bangkok

🇬🇧| Now that we’ve settled in and gotten used to the new rhythm, it’s time for our next step – we’re heading to an island! The sea is calling, the jungle is calling… so we’re packing up our stuff once again and getting ready to hit the road. Ahead of us: about six hours in a mini-van and on a ferry.

We used the waiting time to quickly explore a small temple across the street – a spontaneous little detour that was totally worth it.

We’re not sure if the transport company planned it this way, but it’s kind of ironic: we flew halfway around the world to get away from home… and now we’re sitting in a van with four other Germans and three Swiss travelers. A little taste of home, just in tropical weather. 🌴😄

🇩🇪| Nachdem wir uns inzwischen ganz gut akklimatisiert und eingelebt haben, geht’s für uns nun weiter – ab auf eine Insel! Das Meer ruft, der Dschungel ruft… also packen wir wieder alles zusammen und machen uns bereit für den nächsten Abschnitt unserer Reise. Vor uns liegen rund sechs Stunden im Mini-Van und auf der Fähre.

Die Wartezeit bis zur Abfahrt haben wir noch genutzt, um den kleinen Tempel auf der anderen Straßenseite zu erkunden. Ein kurzer Abstecher, der sich gelohnt hat.

Und ob das Transportunternehmen das so geplant hat, wissen wir nicht – aber irgendwie fühlt es sich leicht ironisch an: Wir fliegen einmal um die halbe Welt, um mal rauszukommen… und sitzen jetzt mit vier anderen Deutschen und drei Schweizern im Van. Heimat, nur in tropisch. 🌴😄Read more
