Zurich Botanical Gardens

The botanical garden in Seefeld with its futuristic domes invites you to visit its fascinating variety of plants with around 7000 different species all year round. It is a place of relaxation and inspiration, but also for learning and research.

When we lived in Switzerland 2009-2011 we germinated Boab seeds from pods from Australia. We had success in germination and raised the trees on our window sill until they were about 10 cm tall. We donated 6 trees to the Gardens. Today we went to see if they had success. I was lucky enough to talk to the very same fellow that we gave them to, sadly they did not survive.
