There were locals fishing pracrically in the waterfall, didn't look like they caught anything.

It started snowing, also picked up Martin, Polish bloke living in England who was hitch hiking to this waterfall to start a hike.

Desert next to Europe's biggest glacier

Lagoon filled with icebergs that have fallen off the glacier.
You probably can't tell but in the last picture there is a seal in the water. Was easier to watch them with binoculars, until my handsWeiterlesen

So last night the road behind me was closed due to high winds, and the roads I'm planning on using today were closed due to snow.

It is incredibly windy, It's trying to blow me off the road. But it is beautiful here, and a view of the snow ahead.

So I planned on doing a hike today, but I can barely see the road at times so I would have no chance following a path. So moving ahead to what was planned tomorrow. After some pictures in the snow.

Much cheaper and probably quieter than blue lagoon, with a nice view over the lake too.
A nice relaxing soak with loads of couples hugging and taking pictures of each other, where's mine?
UrchinJoeI was here in winter 2008. The water temperature in the side pools was around a million degrees, and the air temperature was somewhere below absolute zero. Very good. Don't miss "Borg a Myram" on your way back to the capital.
Volcano crater walk

Had to abandon the car and walk to the start of the walk through some deep snow.
Slightly slippery climbing up but a good walk around the crater.

Very different over here. Much less snow and very fjordy. Also got to drive on my first proper gravel road.
Going to explore more north tomorrow.
