Now in Oman, probably the last country I visit before going home and completing the round the world trip. Not sure how long I'm going to stay yet.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Visited a couple of mosques today, but the main one was this one.
The place was huge, and had an amazing chandelier.
Spent about an hour in the Islamic information centre while they tried to convert Czytaj więcej
Castles

Rented a car for today and tomorrow to go out and see some sights. Going on an organised tour was crazy expensive.
First stop was Nizwa castle, would have also visited the souq but it was closed at Czytaj więcej
Bahla Castle and Abandoned town

Visited another castle which has been mostly rebuilt, with the dried mud look, and passed a cool looking abandoned town on the way up the mountain.
Jebel Shams

Finished the day after a steep climb up to near the highest point in Oman, Jebel Shams.
Nice views on the way up, also gave some old local man a lift, he didn't speak any English. Watched the sunset Czytaj więcej
Omani Grand Canyon

Woke up early and headed to do the 'balcony walk' in what is known as the Omani Grand Canyon.
It isn't as impessive or big as the real Grand Canyon, but it was impressive, and the balcony walk along Czytaj więcej
