    Tivoli is an amusement park, but I must say that it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The atmosphere was filled with festive decorations, food and drink cabins, and the overall vibe really felt like a Christmas market. It was perfect for this trip! ❤️ I enjoyed mulled wine and tried a delicious dish that I can't quite remember the name of—I was so eager to eat it that I didn't have time to take a photo! It was bread and sausage with sour kraut.Read more

    From where I'm staying to Nyhavn, it's about a 45-minute walk. Along the way, I spotted the Christmas tree in front of the city hall. A little further down, I discovered a Christmas market where I enjoyed a sausage in bread, and, of course, I had some Gløgg, the Danish version of mulled wine, which warmed me up in the zero-degree weather outside. Finally, I reached my destination—the plaza with its beautiful buildings adorned with lights, along with the Nyhavn canal. It was a lovely walk to end my Friday night.Read more

    CPH - A blue day in CPH

    Today was the first chilly blue day of December. With the sunset at 3:30 PM, I grabbed my stuff and headed to the main square to grab some gløgg at the Christmas market. It was sunny, but the terminal sensation was still close to zero degrees! A hot drink was totally needed!Read more

    Taking the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful blue day, I visited the King's Garden, a lovely park in front of Rosenborg Castle, which I also explored. Before leaving, I took a tour of the treasure exhibit where I could see the sword, crown, and scepter. It was very interesting!Read more

    While walking around the city center, I visited the Copenhagen public library. After that, I made my way to the Christmas market, where I enjoyed a band playing festive music. After exploring the market, I passed by a beautiful church and took a quick look inside.Read more

    CPH - Christiansborg Palace

    This is definitely one of the best palaces I have visited so far. In the pictures, it doesn't look as large as it really is. The tour had breaks in various parts. In the first part, I saw the stables, where I could view the clothing, some armor, and even the horses. At the end, I got to see all the cars belonging to the palace, and it was truly amazing.

    After that, I walked through the gardens and entered the palace. It was beautiful, and I had the chance to see areas that are still in use today, such as the ballroom, the window where the king gives speeches, and the dinner table.

    Next, I visited the ruins of the old castle located beneath the palace. Interestingly, they also shared the story of three witches who lived in Copenhagen and were accused by the court.

    For the final stop, I saw the royal kitchen, which reminded me a lot of the show "Downton Abbey."    Read more

    I took a lovely walk through the Christianshavn neighborhood, where I stopped at a cute bakery to enjoy a coffee. After that, I continued on my way until I reached Christiania, the free town. It’s an interesting area with a fascinating history, which is definitely worth researching. I heard that people aren’t fond of having their photos taken there, so I didn’t take many pictures. I even had the chance to go ice skating, which was so much fun! ⛸️ On the way back, I took pictures of another beautiful church.Read more

    To finish the weekend and escape from the chill of the street, I visited the Copenhagen Planetarium to watch a movie about “The Secrets of Our Planet.” It was fun to see it on the dome screen. For dinner, I enjoyed some delicious ramen! 🍜🥰Read more

    Malmö - Disgusting food museum

    I visited a unique museum called “The Disgusting Food Museum.” As the name suggests, it showcases strange and unappetizing foods from around the world. I even had the chance to taste surströmming, which is considered the most disgusting fish canned in the world.

    CPH - Happy New Year!

    I spent New Year's Eve at the city hall square along with a lot of people. The city itself didn't offer a fireworks show, but it was special because everyone was setting off their own fireworks around the plaza and the city, resulting in hours of celebration. At midnight, an even more spectacular display of fireworks began, turning it into a big and special party.

    It was time to say goodbye to 2024 and reflect on the year with gratitude. This year was filled with many adventures, travels, and new friends. Thank you for the amazing experiences. With this I finished this year.
