Suzhou

Arrived in Suzhou late but just in time to wander a bit around the canals and residential areas as the sun was going down. Since I'm staying in a hostel close to Pingjiang Rd I decided to check it out at night because 1. I like checking touristy places off the list asap, and 2. I was sure to find some late night snacks there. Ate a very delicious flat bread with veggies for 6RMB, so good that it didn't survive long enough for a picture. Also bought some fried fish but that was a disappointment because it was cold and overall not very good.
Pingjiang Jie is, indeed, touristy and not very impressive after 3 months of living in Yangzhou - a less known city but also with plenty of canals and quaint old water streets. It does have a cat cafe, which I admittedly did not check out but would have if I had had more time.Baca selengkapnya
