Today was really exciting because I was going to pass a port where ships dock with LNH gas that will be converted into gas for bottles. I know every time I pass a port, if I don't go around it, there will be problems. But I swam on it and it went really well because the wind was blowing aft. I just passed the ship that was docked there, when I hear a siren and see blue lights and someone screaming into a megaphone in Turkish. I can't help but smile and say that I'm going to swim to Spain. Then I get closer to the boat in the stern they have a basket. There I load my bags myself and then they hoist me onto the boat. Of course I have to show my passport that is inside the bag I take it out. Then they want to know what I'm doing.
I tell them again what I'm doing and show them clips from Turkish TV. I've apparently passed through a military area where foreigners are not allowed. He shows an app he used, Garmin boating, and then you go in and you can see that there are dotted lines where it's a military area. My Marlin that I have for navigation doesn't have that information, I say. They say that passport control will take a good hour. I'm offered coffee while we wait. I give them each an embroidered badge about my adventure. All went well and they said you can keep swimming to Greece, just don't forget to get your passport stamped in the last harbor. problems..

I was swimming really well today and I made a good course in the Marlin App, so I didn't have to swim so much in shallow water. My plan was to swim 5,800, but when I saw this place it looked so beautiful so I wanted to stay here. Just have to remind myself that this is not the race this is a way to live. I had a pretty good night with sleep it was warm and cozy.Read more

Today was pretty rough because it was against the wind and the current was pushing me outwards so my GPS was redirecting me all the time, so I went without batteries off the 7,000 m. Then I saw at the shoreline that there were a lot of trees and I thought that I could search for shelter for the wind tonight. So I aimed for that point swimming but fast it gets so shallow the water and after a while it was only like 10 cm no more water so I have to drag the bags behind me all the way but not to the shoreline it was impossible so aimed for the Harbour where I now have my tent. The first one I met there was called Ali and asked him about the restaurants. Let me call my friend and ask him if the surve food this time of day. It didn't take long before Guner the Hunger came with his car and picked me up. He made my day, I had mitx salad and sardinas and 2 bears and bread of course.Read more

I just experienced my first earthquake in my life such a strange feeling, luckily I was sitting down resting my back to my bags on the grass, , if not I would surely fall to the ground.
The wind should be like 4 m/s but the guests is so much stronger and I worried that the tent my be ripped in part this night.
Pretty good Nights sleep not to cold and the wind died during the night.
My plans have changed. I was supposed to be picked up tonight and driven to the other side to Sarköy and swim the part of the Sea of Marmaris that wasn't done last fall.
It's because of the earthquake yesterday, my support who was supposed to pick me up tonight and drive me to Sarköy , has to help their elderly up in Istanbul after the earthquake. So the new plan is in september fly to Istanbul and then I swim the part that's missing over in the Sea of Marmaris

I think today I will get a puncture in my madrass. There are Sticky things under my tent. I felt it wehn I was leaning on the floor with my hands.
In case the air runs out of the mattress, I have placed my pump at the foot of the bed so I can pump up the mattress at night.
I had a great swim this morning at 4,400 Meter. I I thought I was passing a military base there were so many fences all over, I just stuck my head deep in the water and didn't want to look to the shore I was breathing only to the left. Luckily nothing happened they could take me for a spy. The night was cold and hummid.

Already in the Morning before I started to swim I saw something in the water that looked like alges. but when I rounded the Cape of the 1500 meter I saw that it was shit in the water I would be swimming in mustard, and it got worse the longer i swam. I hope I won't get sick later today. 3 days without Contact with humans so nice. So far according to my food plan to eat when I come up from the water in a restaurant It is really disappointing.
I had a vision that there would be small villages along the coast with a harbor and you could just go out from the water and climb a ladder and sit down and have your lunch. But it's not like this in this part of Turkey.
Tonight looks like the wind will keep on blowing and the walls of my tent will be smashing me in the head all night long hopefully this will not happen.
I just open the Google Maps and lukt för Supermarket Oh my god just one eleven minutes from my camping site. I even got a ride home from the supermarket.
I have so much hassle with the zipper too close to the sleeping bag.
Tonight I woke up warm so I had to take off my hoodie, let's see if my body stay warm without the hoodie hopfolly hit works.
It should get me some more room inside the sleeping bag for my shoulders.
Well in the end I got the little bit chilly around 5:00 and then I took my hoodie inside the sleeping bag and put it like a blanket over my chest and I slept till 6:00.

I had a nice swim 3,800 m in the morning and the water is 13 maybe 13 and a half already. I love the spot where I put my tent today it's a long beach with small flat stones and I'm totally alone here. There's a lot of air around because the mountain behind me is not so high.
Today I started working on my tan.

Now I don't give shit even if there comes a hail storm.
When I was swimming today and it was going really fast, I felt such resistance and I thought it was someone holding the bag. I stop and turn around and see that my flagpole has bent, it had gotten caught in a fishing line. Now I have fixed it with a piece of steel that I found on the beach so now it is like new again.
Last night it was cold again, I started with 2 layers of clothes but froze so much that I had to put on another layer. BRRRR

Hello guys when I came on shore Ahmed was waiting there and he offered me coffee and pastries. And later in the evening I'm invited to his house to have some raki alcohol. And after a while my friend Pizza Napoli came from Gilliboulli with pizza for lunch. He had found one bottle of gas it's difficult to find these gas bottles that are necessary for me to cook and keep warm in the tent. I now have four bottles of gas and it would last for like 30 days if I'm really mean with the gas.
I have to my surprise One restaurant opened today so I went there and had the hamburger and not sure if it was from the fall, I don't know let's see how my stomach copes tonight.
And in the end I had five beers today so I felt good.
The water was pretty warm today I think it's closer to 13 than 12°.
The night was warm just pity they had a grill party on the beach until 03.40
