I’m raising the bar — extending my swim from Istanbul to Cadiz all the way to Stockholm, following the Atlantic coastline and later Danmark and sweden for around some extra 8000 kilometers. It's an 11 year project. Read more

    Golden Fish

    I swam about eight kilometers today and then I went up to see if there was a place to eat and I ended up at Golden Fish. I had the best fish soup during my entire adventure and the same with sardines which were so good. After lunch I asked the owner if it was possible to camp at the back of the restaurant. No, not at the back, then you can camp in front among the tables. Later he showed me the storage room, well, their storage space is huge, so I slept there with help indoors, it's a little quieter because the road is right outside.Read more

    Kavala

    Today I had to walk far because there was two harbors in the way of my swimming to Kavala. I ended up at the castle station I had something to eat and a beer and a talk with the lady in the cashier. I told her what I was doing and that I needed to taxi to get into Kavala to meet the center TV. After been waiting for a while she came out from the cashier and said to me that your taxi is here but you need to pay cash. I never had cash I said to her, then she said come in let's take your card and I will give you 15 Euro. There was no taxi, I think it was her uncle or some old man who took me into the TV.. Later that evening in Kavala when I was walking I stumbled on her daughter that I met also at the gasoline station.Read more

    Today I had to swim further because I ran out of food for the little raft. I bought it at the toy store. It doesn't work to load on as much as I need. Like you, I met Millenn on the beach, a guy from Bulgaria, he was here with his family. I asked where the shops were. He said it was six kilometers there, so he drove the car back and forth, it was great. Still around 12 km to Kavalla, so I'll do 6 km tomorrow and it was a long day today, eight, so tomorrow we'll rest a bit.Read more

    Today I had my first swim in the Autumn of 2025 as from some 4,000 kilometers I should have done more than five but I didn't have my GPS with me so it's hard to know when you reach your goals. It's not too heart is 29 degrees it's not like in June when it was 35 so I cope with the Heat without my tarp. This is a natural reservat so I have to hide in the bushes so nobody sees my tent.Read more

    Who said it would be easy? Even before the adventure started, an accident happened. When there are waves, it is difficult with heavy bags, I had to load 21 liters of water outside my bags. So I decided to tie my big bag at the far end of the bathing jetty while I was going to get the other one from the beach. When I come out with the 55 liter bag, I see to my horror that the handle of the big bag has been torn off by a big wave. How lucky that it happened here where there is help to be found, and not in the wilderness that would lie ahead of me. So now I have to get back to Istanbul and find someone who can weld (HF) I got help from a girl how I meet on the beach
    Suan. We went to Särköy to try to fix the bag but nobody could help us. The nedells in the sawing machines broke, and we didn't find any glue. So Suan drives me to Kesan from where I take the bus to Alexandrapoulis. In Grecce. I will send the bag to sweden from there. I will also swim some 50 kilometers while waiting for the bag to be fixed.    Read more

    The fresh water was really nice and the current passed along my body cold me down when I sat on the bottom.
    It's 6:00 yeah but I said yesterday there will be no mosquitoes but this place was actually terrible so I have to wait to the sun is rising just a little bit more before I go outside my tent.Read more

    On this beach where I am you are allowed to drive the car down to the beach and the bigger the truck you have the faster you drive to show the power of your vehicle.
    There is a beach club just 100 m from here and the music is loud and there are so many people.Read more

    I was checking in the app if the campsite would be open and it was opened according to the App.
    When I reach it here it's fast closed.
    I put up my tent anyway in the shadow under the trees that I've been missing for so long.
    I went to the supermercado it was like 1 km to walk. I bought 15 liters of water to Bears up with the wine coffee and 15 package of third in fasta be squats and dadels and racing and peanuts.
    They were so nice so they offered me transport homes I have to sit back on the Vespa.
    It must be the outer border of the European Community because the helicopters is flying two and two or six and six back and forth along the coast all day long.    Read more

    It looks a bit difficult going forward with these Greek laws that you can't camp wherever you want. I think I'll recreate GO FUND ME so I can handle unplanned expenses. According to Google Maps there should be two grocery stores here that should be open, as usual both were closed. I was lucky that there was a beach club but it was really expensive there. I was sponsored for two bottles of water anyway. That's what I was looking for. I swam as fast as I can with the bags this morning when I only had 1.5 liters of water as a cargo, very little it can be upwards of 16 liters and 21 the other day. I think I've found a perfect camping spot here, I shouldn't be bothered by anyone.Read more
