Today I climbed the Sandy Shore to seek shelter in the Shadow under the trees. I have to be sure that the ground is leaning a little bit if it starts to rain so the water doesn't get stuck under my tent. I'm so pleased that I used the SUBTECH because it's also a backpack at the same time as a raft, so easy to move around. Starting to get a little bit worrying about the heat that will come in a couple of weeks, what will I do if I don't find Shadow to put the tent. Let's see how long I last in the heat that is coming, before I go to Sweden.Read more

Today I made 7,000 M and for once I have concrete beneath my tent it's clean and no sand I love it.
This place is awesome. It had to be a paradise once ,but now everything is run down and destroyed. I don't know what happened here but it's a marvelous place.
When I stop swimming I secure my pull buoy to my bag and take it up on the shore. I brought my small bag up to my camping site, and went back to the Shore to get my big bag. But my pullbuoy was missing, f*** happened and I saw it floating on the water like hundred meters away so I have to run along the beach to get it.

This morning was a pretty nice swim smooth water no waves no wind so 4,300 I think it was really fast.
I came on shore and saw a restaurant and I thought I would go and put my tent under its roof. Glad i didn't, after two hours they came and they started working with the tables. They will open up next weekend. My tent is fine on the beach in the sand. There's a market just under 200 meters from my place so I went there and bought two beers and drank them cold.
I was sleeping and somebody was shouting my name and it was the restaurant owner the house just above my tent is he's. I shouted come come eat. So I got a wonderful chicken pasta and salad and some beers.
This morning I lost my Crocs in the seaweed it was so muddy so I sank down to my knees and my Crocs got stuck in the mud.

5,500 today and once again swimming through s*** in the water there was a camping with the toilets on the beach and of course the pipe goes directly in the sea.
Today I will post pictures and show how dirty it is along the beach is here in Turkey it's a really mess so much rubbish. And I found a turtle walking around.
Strange It was supposed to be a warm Night. I think I know the reason for it was cold, I had put my tent at the end of a ravin with a cold wind coming down from the mountain.
the night was very humid outside so I have to keep my trucks upside down so they are dry inside when I put in my feet.
Today I will start swimming around Hej dirty online because I can't see the sun because the mountain beside me is to high.
The ground was full of these small badtards. Last photo.

Well I came on shore after 4,700 m. It was against the current but the wind was tailwind so I got a little bit of help from that. I'm at the lady on the beach she lives there and also for the camping and she showed me around the corner but there was nobody there working. So we went back to her place and just outside her house I asked if I could put my tent over there please. No worries she said that she brought me coffee. I checked Google maps for a restaurant that is open, so I went away to have lunch. The first restaurant was closed so I went to a market where I met a guy. I asked him if he new some restaurants close by that's Open, he said just wait a minute. Then he drove me to an open restaurant.Read more

Hello today the water was cold again I made 3,300 m. When I was swimming I didn't notice that the cliff was hanging out over the water, I smashed my forehead really badly into the rock, I thought now we will be flowing blood in the sea while I'm swimming. I was lucky no Blood came out from the wound. When I got on shore I found some tables to put my stuff on. Tiden took long before Iran Who was living in a caravan just beside came to salut me, and he invited me for breakfast with his wife. After having breakfast I went to see the reception for the camping. There I met Usgur the owner of Uzunkum beach I told him what I'm doing. Guess what he invited me for another breakfast. While we were having breakfast he said tonight you will be asleep in one of my cabins. He went away and talked with his personal and he came back and said to me, I just informed them to give you everything that you want from the kitchen. So now I'm resting in the cabin and it's so warm and cozy and the night will be for me maybe too warm. Wow that dinner was superb now I'm prepared for my 5,000 tomorrow.Read more

Well I started early in the morning before the strong wind picked up I made over 4,000 m. I have to pick a camp site that is protected from the strong wind that it's going on until midnight. When I came to shore I met guys from Afghanistan working with this big sundeck. They offered me tea and I had a long chat with them. Suddenly a guy showed up who looked more like a boss so I went talking with him his name was Levent. So I told him what I'm doing and showed some videos. Then they asked me if I'm hungry and I said of course I'm always hungry doing this. So I got invited for a Turkish breakfast up in the restaurant since his manager is the boss.Read more

Today was really exciting because I was going to pass a port where ships dock with LNH gas that will be converted into gas for bottles. I know every time I pass a port, if I don't walk around it, there will be problems. But I swam on it and it went really well because the wind was blowing aft. I just passed the ship that was docked there, when I hear a siren and see blue lights and someone screaming into a megaphone in Turkish. I can't help but smile and say that I'm going to swim to Spain. Then I get closer to the boat in the stern they have a basket. There I load my bags myself and then they hoist me onto the boat. Of course I have to show my passport that is inside the bag I take it out. Then they want to know what I'm doing.
I tell them again what I'm doing and show them clips from Turkish TV. I've apparently passed through a military area where foreigners are not allowed. He shows an app he used, Garmin boating, and then you go in and you can see that there are dotted lines where it's a military area. My Marlin that I have for navigation doesn't have that information, I say. They say that passport control will take a good hour. I'm offered coffee while we wait. I give them each an embroidered badge about my adventure. All went well and they said you can keep swimming to Greece, just don't forget to get your passport stamped in the last harbor. problems..

I was swimming really well today and I made a good course in the Marlin App, so I didn't have to swim so much in shallow water. My plan was to swim 5,800, but when I saw this place it looked so beautiful so I wanted to stay here. Just have to remind myself that this is not the race this is a way to live. Today was pretty rough because it was against the wind and the current was pushing me outwards so my GPS was redirecting me all the time, so I went without batteries off the 7,000 m. Then I saw at the shoreline that there were a lot of trees and I thought that I could search for shelter for the wind tonight. So I aimed for that point swimming but fast it gets so shallow the water and after a while it was only like 10 cm no more water so I have to drag the bags behind me all the way but not to the shoreline it was impossible so aimed for the Harbour where I now have my tent. The first one I met there was called Ali and asked him about the restaurants. Let me call my friend and ask him if the surve food this time of day. It didn't take long before Guner the Hunger came with his car and picked me up. He made my day, I had mitx salad and sardinas and 2 bears and bread of course.Read more

I just experienced my first earthquake in my life such a strange feeling, luckily I was sitting down resting my back to my bags on the grass, , if not I would surely fall to the ground.
The wind should be like 4 m/s but the guests is so much stronger and I worried that the tent my be ripped in part this night.
Pretty good Nights sleep not to cold and the wind died during the night.
My plans have changed. I was supposed to be picked up tonight and driven to the other side to Sarköy and swim the part of the Sea of Marmaris that wasn't done last fall.
It's because of the earthquake yesterday, my support who was supposed to pick me up tonight and drive me to Sarköy , has to help their elderly up in Istanbul after the earthquake. So the new plan is in september fly to Istanbul and then I swim the part that's missing over in the Sea of Marmaris

In case the air runs out of the mattress, I have placed my pump at the foot of the bed so I can pump up the mattress at night.
I had a great swim this morning at 4,400 Meter. I I thought I was passing a military base there were so many fences all over, I just stuck my head deep in the water and didn't want to look to the shore I was breathing only to the left. Luckily nothing happened they could take me for a spy. The night was cold and hummid.

Already in the Morning before I started to swim I saw something in the water that looked like alges. but when I rounded the Cape of the 1500 meter I saw that it was shit in the water I would be swimming in mustard, and it got worse the longer i swam. I hope I won't get sick later today. 3 days without Contact with humans so nice. So far according to my food plan to eat when I come up from the water in a restaurant It is really disappointing.
I had a vision that there would be small villages along the coast with a harbor and you could just go out from the water and climb a ladder and sit down and have your lunch. But it's not like this in this part of Turkey.
Tonight looks like the wind will keep on blowing and the walls of my tent will be smashing me in the head all night long hopefully this will not happen.
I just open the Google Maps and lukt för Supermarket Oh my god just one eleven minutes from my camping site. I even got a ride home from the supermarket.
I have so much hassle with the zipper too close to the sleeping bag.
Tonight I woke up warm so I had to take off my hoodie, let's see if my body stay warm without the hoodie hopfolly hit works.
It should get me some more room inside the sleeping bag for my shoulders.
Well in the end I got the little bit chilly around 5:00 and then I took my hoodie inside the sleeping bag and put it like a blanket over my chest and I slept till 6:00.

When I was swimming today and it was going really fast, I felt such resistance and I thought it was someone holding the bag. I stop and turn around and see that my flagpole has bent, it had gotten caught in a fishing line. Now I have fixed it with a piece of steel that I found on the beach so now it is like new again.

Hello guys when I came on shore Ahmed was waiting there and he offered me coffee and pastries. And later in the evening I'm invited to his house to have some raki alcohol. And after a while my friend Pizza Napoli came from Gilliboulli with pizza for lunch. He had found one bottle of gas it's difficult to find these gas bottles that are necessary for me to cook and keep warm in the tent. I now have four bottles of gas and it would last for like 30 days if I'm really mean with the gas.
I have to my surprise One restaurant opened today so I went there and had the hamburger and not sure if it was from the fall, I don't know let's see how my stomach copes tonight.
And in the end I had five beers today so I felt good.
The water was pretty warm today I think it's closer to 13 than 12°.

First day in shorts sitting in the shelter lovely
I was on lack of water so i took a walk and met a lovely old lady, she filed my bottle and made my day.
I went to bed at eight, but at 9:30 p.m. the prayer call started screaming so I woke up for half an hour. But then I slept wonderfully and the first night without freezing I woke up at 6:30.

Last night was pretty good not so cold after I worked with my sleeping bags for hours to make it fluffy again.
The swimming this morning was pretty rough because the current was 0.5 notes and the headwind I don't know how much it was but still it has to make a lot of effort to make my 3,400 m with a medium of 2 minutes 10 seconds per 100 m.
I have become really fast to set my Camp, so now I've been enjoying lunch and coffee afterwards and making some updates with Facebook and you know all the stuff around you.
Uhhhff all the clothes I've worn on my upper body over the past week have made my shoulders stiffen at night.

Tonight I had a bad sleep again because it was so f****** cold. I know what the problem is. I washed my sleeping bag in the summer when I was in Sweden, and I put it in the dryer it's too high temperature so the synthetic textile melted. So during the morning and day I have been ripping it apart with my hands from bothside of the sleeping bag. Let's see if it gets more fluffy and keeps me warm better.
Today I reinforced the tent poles and sewed my logo onto my hat.
Later Erdem came walking on the beach with a friend and he asked me if I was missing something and, I said as it was I would love to have some more water. He went a way and came back with water and some biscuits. Better days soon and I get some sleep as it is right now hard to swim longer distances due low water temperature 🌡️
