Caught the 8.48 bound for Sapporo. This one is a limited express (ordinary train). The journey takes four hours to travel 254kms - bit slower than the bullet trains.

Visited the Sapporo Brewery on the way to our hotel. Checked out its museum and history, then Inage informed us we would be having our farewell dinner there later. Not just any dinner but a Vikingもっと詳しく
Bev LeeI hope you've bought home lots of ideas for recipes and a cooking book or two to add to your collection... looking forward to the odd Viking helmet dinner at Burragunya... perhaps a 'Japanese' alternative to a Friday night pizza on occasion! (....I heard a rumour that a sushimi cafe is opening in Benalla...). What a memorable trip you have had!
