Lodging of the Duke of Marlborough, birthplace of Winston Churchill. Crazy amazing.
More pictures...😎
Our new lodgings for the next 2 days. 😊
Outside of this door, J.R.R. Tolkien sat and penned a scene in his trilogy "The Lord of the Rings." Can you guess what part of the book he had in mind?(I'm giving a hint in the video)😋
Kristie gets a hit off of Jeem, then Jeem bowls a strike.😁
Got to visit the Earl of Wemyss' residence, see a working water mill, and play a cricket match. 😃
Slaughter = Corrupton of the Anglo-Saxon word meaning "slow growing berry." Took a 2.5 hour walk on the Cotswold trail through upper and lower Slaughter.
I feel like I have just walked thru a fairy tale or one of my favorite novels, it was lovely-lovely-lovely (been told that is actually one word, lol).
An example of a fortified manor...not quite a castle, but more than a house. 😉 Occupied from 1300s to early 1700s.
Traveler Kristie is this your one allotted pile of rocks? Does this mean you will be staying in the car while we are at Stonehenge?
Traveler Wow, that was interesting!
Traveler I guess I will indulge in a few more piles of rocks, I am finding them quite fascinating ⛰️
