Alps, Adriatic & Danube — Europe 2026

We chose to travel home in two parts to avoid any possible problems that might occur. So we traveled from Budapest to Milan on Saturday using Wizzair . We had s very early flight but it gave us the afternoon and evening to explore another part of Milan. We stayed in the San Lorenzo area.

Milan streets were extremely crowded. It was the end of fashion week as well as the usual tourism. We chose to do the hop on hop off bus and ride the different loops giving us a brief overview of more of Milan then we could cover walking. We rode past some tourist things like the Duomo which we saw before, the castle, through the fashion district, the art district, past the Milan football (soccer) stadium, and finally through the more contemporary city.

After dinner we walked through the Navigli area where they have canals. It was so busy we walked part of it and then came back to our quieter corner near the San Lorenzo gate and columns. Tomorrow we fly from Milan to London to Pittsburgh.

Despite riding the bus for a few hours, we still managed to walk over 8 miles.Leia mais
