6:30 am. 4C, dark, cold, slight rain.
Began with a 1 km walk to the bus stop. At least things are running. Yesterday was a nationwide strike, no buses, and the airport closed.

Smooth flight and arrived on time. Through airport in 30 minutes. Bought bus pass and straight onto an N2 bus and change over to 34. Total cost 50 cents.

The architecture is really impressive and resolutely contemporary... and a bit forbidding...
PengembaraThe Louvre and the nearby National Museum ( opens next Wednesday) look stunning. The Guggenheim is a bit more controversial.
PengembaraOf course you were probably not allowed to take pictures inside... you need to please tell me in detail what was exhibited - mainly Art from local artists through the centuries or "western" Art?? That is so totally my area of research...

Flight landed Cebu about 22:30. Met Teresa and Isabel who had also just landed. Took shuttle to local hotel.
Next morning took taxi to ferry port at Danao for 2 hour ferry crossing to Camotes. TakenBaca lagi

Staying in a small hotel right on the beach. Wonderful sunset views while sipping a cocktail. Very small laid back, car free island. Lovely snorkeling area with lots of baby sharks.

Nice island. Not many tourists. Hired a self driven tuk tuk for the week so we could explore everywhere. Accommodation ok but not beach front.

Our only really touristy stop in the Philippines. Lot's of Koreans. There are 5 flights to here daily from Korea. Nice hotel just off the main tourist street so it's quiet but convenient. Nice largeBaca lagi

Nice island. About the same size as Siquijor but the roads are much better and much less populated. Nice hotel but the beach is black and there are construction works going on .
