After breakfast in Windows, we headed to the shuttle to Burnie.

We signed up for a tour with 6 other folks. 4 from UK and the other 2 from Florida.

Stephen , the driver of the 2000 Haice van (just like Glenn’s in Guatemala) gave us a tour, overlooking the harbor, through poppie fields, cattle area, and the small tourist white beach town.

Weather was beautiful, warm and delightful.

We were able to watch us dock from our balcony room at 10am this morning after eating breakfast in Windows.

Glenn and I have started to pack and get organized for our 3 night stay in Sydney. I’m looking at options on how to get to Aiden Best Western in Darling Harbor. We’ll probably use Uber since we are docking at Whites Bay.

We have started to stay good-bye to the workers. I’m having them sign my mobil guest book and we’re giving them a track and some cash to shoe our appreciation.

We walked into town and purchased a Magnum ice cream and then walked back to the ship. We talked with several locals along the way. One couple were RVing and had just watched us dock. The other RV family we’re from Perth.Les mer

Disembarking Day 51

We arrived into whites bay for 6am.

We ate our last breakfast in The Windows. We were one of the last folks to leave The Spirit. We took Uber to our hotel . And fortunately our room was ready.

This hotel room is very small, kinda reminding me of our small Hong Kong hotel room.

We rested a bit then walk and got our bearings. We ate pizza for lunch.

We took Uber to Hillsong Church. Then to ParkRoyal hotel to see Sarah Hilgart. Glenn noticed on Facebook that she was heading to Sydney and New Zealand this week. Her hotel is just 25 min walking from our hotel.Les mer

Hop On Hop Off

A full 4 hour tour that took us out to the famous Bondi beach. We sat up on top of the double decker bus. 9:30-1:30

We shared a hamburger at the local bar and grill and watched an NFL game (Sunday night in US and early afternoon here).

After a short rest, we ventured over to the Sea Life Aquarium to purchase tickets for tomorrow. Tiffany let us go ahead and walk thru the Sea Life.Les mer

Kangaroo and Koalas

Last day in Sydney. We took the Hop on Hop Off bus to George street and found the cinema. 10am show with Tom Hanks “A man called Otto”. Very good, needed tissues to wipe tears.

We walked thru the historical and “out of my price range” Queen Victoria Building. Beautiful. Elegant. Lively.

We shared a hamburger and fries in a city bench right by the bus stop.

Afternoon was spent at the Wild Life park exploring the kangaroos and Koalas. We spent 2 hours in this Koala section just enjoying watching people and watching the koalas. We also enjoyed a Magnum ice cream bar. 95 degrees outside.

Oh yea, we also saw the Tasmanian Devil.Les mer

Leaving Sydney Flying to Houston

We took an Uber to SYD Airport. No problem. Checked luggage and went thru security.

Now waiting for the 15hour and 40min flight,

“If I forget to tell you, I really had a good time!”

We drove from Houston to dallas to see mom and dad, then HOME to Tyler!Les mer
