Part of the beach we survey for turtle nests is slowly but very surely eaten away. Today the wind is considerable and the waves are doing what they do best.

Beach Tiger Beetles as the name indicates are beach specialists. I’ve found several species on the beaches here. This is the Eastern Beach Tiger Beetle. I think they are cute.
