Mountain towns, rolling hills and brisket sandwiches.
Day ten: Taking the scenic route through the mountains to experience 'The peaceful side of the Smokeys', Jack works on endangering the grey squirrel with our first unfortunate road kill incident. Today's drive is just over 4hrs so we take a short break at Buc-ees, Crossville for an XXL brisket sandwich and an assault on the senses - wow, what a store! Nashville (and Uncle Kent) welcomes us with open arms and gives us an hour back - our second timezone of the trip. We check in to our most luxurious stay of the trip, the Opryland Hotel and are treated to an extra special night at the Opry!
Day eleven: a 'strong' start to the day with a gym session and a country boy breakfast. For the afternoon we spend some down time soaking in the hotel and listening to a country cover artist at The Falls bar, eagerly awaiting our evening. We hit Monell's family style dining for the best fried chicken in town and a smashing Smashville Predators ice hockey game, 5-2 win, inducing Loud Environment warnings from wearable tech 🏒 🤩
