Teil 2- Qatar National Museum

The Qatari National Museum was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel and is modeled after the natural crystal formations commonly known as the "desert rose". It was built around the original palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani, which was the seat of government for 25 years.
40,000 square meters is now dedicated to the great task of giving a voice to Qatar's cultural heritage and celebrating the country's future.

Das katarische Nationalmuseum wurde vom Pritzker-Preisträger Jean Nouvel entworfen und ist den natürlichen Kristallformationen nachempfunden, die gemeinhin als "Wüstenrose" bekannt sind. Es wurde um den ursprünglichen Palast von Scheich Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani herum gebaut, der 25 Jahre lang Sitz der Regierung war.
