We did manage to see some of the surrounding rice terraces, the elephant cave (Goa Gajah) and (water) temples. Interesting to see the many temples here (Bali being mainly Hindu: mix of Balinese traditions/religion and Hinduism) as opposed to the many mosques on Java or churches in Flores.
The setting for the Balinese cooking class was typical, in the middle of rice fields. A (private) cooking course by Wijan who started this new venture during Covid times. On the menu 7 dishes, from yellow rice (nasi kuning) to mushroom soup to sate lilit and more. Very enak (delicious) and everyone was happy with the doggy bag.Read more
