Ubud

We did manage to see some of the surrounding rice terraces, the elephant cave (Goa Gajah) and (water) temples. Interesting to see the many temples here (Bali being mainly Hindu: mix of Balinese traditions/religion and Hinduism) as opposed to the many mosques on Java or churches in Flores.

The setting for the Balinese cooking class was typical, in the middle of rice fields. A (private) cooking course by Wijan who started this new venture during Covid times. On the menu 7 dishes, from yellow rice (nasi kuning) to mushroom soup to sate lilit and more. Very enak (delicious) and everyone was happy with the doggy bag.Weiterlesen
