Enjoying Malanage Hot Springs

On our way back to Bajawa, Roy, our driver suddenly had the idea to take us up to a viewpoint from which you can watch the sunset behind Gunung Inerie with the ocean in the background. It took us agesWeiterlesen
This was a similar experience to the one of the day before, but these springs were less natural and far bigger than the ones in Malanage. We still had a great time though.
After a long and quite bumpy ride we finally arrived in Riung, which is not a city, but simply an area with a small fishing village as its center. We just arrived in time to see the sun set at theWeiterlesen
Before starting our day trip around the famous 17 islands, we went to the local market to buy our daily ration of fruit. Since there were so few tourists it was a very authentic experience which weWeiterlesen
Once on the boat we headed towards the first island we were to visit, stopping close by to do some snorkeling. Later, our captain prepared a hearty and yummy lunch for us.
Though not comparable to Raja Ampat or Komodo, snorkeling around 17 Islands was fun. The water was clear and I did see some fish I hadn't seen before like for example some box fish.
Later we went to another tiny island where I hiked up to the top of a mountain to enjoy the view from above after taking some fun pictures in the crystalline water.
We knew we were going to see bats, but we had no idea how many of them we would see. Once we were the only ones around, our captain turned on the motor and made a really loud noise which scared theWeiterlesen
