Agriculture on the Eyre Peninsula is mostly wheat, barley, canola, sheep and cattle. It has been a very dry year and many farmers are cutting the wheat for hay.

The Dutton Bay Jetty was a privately owned facility where ships could load the wool and grain from the Dutton Bay Farm. Oysters and other shellfish are found in the shallow waters edge.
