Kiyosumi Gardens have been owned by the Mitsubishi Group since 1932 when they were opened to the public. The area is designated as a Tokyo Metropolitan Place of Scenic Beauty.

This distinctive museum shows the history of Tokyo during the Edo period (1603-1868). It was established in 1993.

Inside the museum, buildings from the Edo era are displayed. There is a life-size replica of the Nihonbashi, which was the bridge leading into Edo. Other buildings are scaled to size.
