Independence Square of Tashkent

After the proclamation of Uzbekistan's independence from the USSR, "Lenin Square" was renamed "Independence Square".
The monument to Lenin was replaced with the Monument of Independence of Uzbekistan. Later, a figure of a woman symbolizing the Motherland was placed in front of the pedestal.
