    BMW Welt

    Had come across quite a few recommendations that the BMW Welt was worth a visit. It's not a museum but essentially a very over-the-top car showroom that anyone is able to wander about and ogle the latest from BMW, Mini, and Rolls Royce.

    There's interactive exhibits, cafes, a fancy restaurant, merch shop, and then some people actually there to buy and pick up their new cars. Being attached to the old Olympic park it was well worth the trip out of town for a look around (assuming you have a daily ticket for transport and don't have to cop the crazy prices for a metro ride).     Olympia Park

    The BMW Museum and Welt is in the huge Olympia Park built for, you guessed it, the Munich Olympics. We had a wander after we'd finished at the Welt, and were pretty impressed at how used it all was - you hear about all this infrastructure going to seed often but there were lots of people around and the venues were in good nick - nice to see.Read more

    Down near the swim centre at Olympia Park there's a lovely lake, and the most random collection of celebrity hand impressions. I chose to be memorialised with the Undertaker and Shania Twain, naturally.Read more
