Day 12 Paris to Ligre

Blue sky and sun again today and a bit warmer.
Quick coffee downstairs then an uber van to Gare Montparnasse for the TGV to Tours. P'tit Pain outside the station at a cafe before boarding. We left at 1224pm precisely!!
At 135pm we got to Tours/ St Pierre des Corps station. After a big kerfuffle with car hire and Enterprise, 4 baguettes from Starbucks were needed to recover then we drove away in a BMW SUV from SIXT!! The roads were good and well signposted to Ligre in the Loire.
La Closerie St Martin's is a small B and B with 5 rooms and a main courtyard for drinks and dinner run by Marcel and Katarina.
A glass of rose and beers were enjoyed by all in the sun.
4 course dinner with the 6 other guests was yummy and a lot of fun even if we couldn't speak German!! Lovely walk through the fields after dinner. So quiet and peaceful after Paris.Read more
