We spent two days in Mandalay, then we took the 8h boat to Nyaung U. We bought the tickets in our hotel, where they also organised the taxi. I think it costed about 45$.

I'd recommend to stay more than one night in Bagan, because not every sunrise is as beautiful, as we've seen it. So the chances are higher to see one like this, if you stay longer. It's absolutelyWeiterlesen

We stayed for one week at the "new coconut". It's the perfect place for relaxing. We had a bungalow for 600 baht, with cold shower and fan.
