Getting to Banff

Red-eye flight from HNL to SFO, followed by a very empty flight to YYC (Calgary). There were only 2 of us in the upgraded economy section. So I got a window (and middle and aisle) seat but most of the flight was cloud covered.

Then a 2.5 hour drive to my accommodations in Johnston Canyon Lodge in Banff. Rest break in Canmore at a Canadian A&W which was family oriented. Mama burger (which I had), Papa burger, Sister burger, bathrooms marked as Mom and Pop.

Exhausted when I finally got to my accommodations, but the cabin was really nice and the restaurant was pretty good. Early rise, 4 am, tomorrow for a sunrise tour but the weather doesn't look promising.Read more
