Kyoto Trail and Koyo

Came down with a mild cold several days ago so I've been taking it very easy while sightseeing. Today is the final day of the trip and it's a short train ride south to Uji. I'm not a fan of matcha, but I do like Uji's second most famous tea product, hojicha, which I've been drinking a lot of to fight my cold.
The highlight of this trip was the beautiful Byodo-in Temple followed by a peaceful stroll on the bridge loop back to the train station.
I also had to try the matcha parfait, which nicely blended the bitter grassy matcha taste with sweeter ice cream, dango balls, and gelatin.Baca selengkapnya
