    Let’s go climb a mountain!

    August 22, 2024 in Tanzania ⋅ ☁️ 6 °C

What started as a casual conversation after Tri training two years ago with Ben and Kareem then added Vaishali and George had signed up without hesitation has transformed into an epic adventure of enormous proportions and culminated with a hike to the top of the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world: 5,895 m (19,341 ft) above sea level and 4,900 m (16,100 ft) above its plateau base. It is also the highest volcano in the Eastern Hemisphere. Our group leader Walter met us and our fellow hikers Liz, John and David, our doctor Marina at the airport.
    Let the adventure begin.
