Budapest for Boats, Brews and Bliss

    April 23 in Hungary ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

A 5 day trip to Budapest to relax and recharge our batteries. This didn’t turn out to be very hard at all as we sit by the Danube with a light breeze on our back and watch the boats go by. We even booked a night cruise on the river to see the magnificent buildings lit up. The trams and metros carried us around the city to see the sights and sample the nightlife. A visit to a ‘ruin bar’ for a local beer was the most unusual drinking establishment. An abandoned building was decorated with light’s old furniture and reclaimed doors and graffiti decor.
We took the time to go and sample two of the many thermal baths to soak up all the healing benefits of various temperatures healing waters and inhaling salt and finished it off in a pool with hundreds of your fellow party mates. Climbed the steps to the Fishermen’s Bastion to get a bird’s eye view of Pest across the river. A trip to New York Cafe for an ice cream lunch was the cherry in the top of a chill few days in Budapest.
