    Woke up to a beautiful bluebird morning. We took our morning walk to the working farm on Prophetstown Park. We saw cows, horses, hogs, chickens, goats, and a cat that nearly scared Melissa out of her skin. After walking back to our camp, we made plans for a Mother’s Day lunch in the old city of Lafayette. After a great lunch, where our server was a recent mechanical engineering graduate from Purdue, heading to Connecticut for his first engineering job, we crossed the Wabash river and toured the Purdue campus. Driving back to our campsite, we found another Casita trailer in the site next to ours. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet the owners as they haven’t returned before we wound down for the evening. Second campfire of the trip was great as the evenings cool down to the low 50’s.Read more
