    We took the morning to explore Palisades State Park. It features dramatic Sioux quartzite cliffs and formations along Split Rock Creek. Our favorite was the King and Queen trail which leads directly to massive 1.2-billion-year-old Sioux rose quartzite pillars that rise from Split Rock Creek, offering panoramic views of the water and surrounding cliffs. Came back to have lunch at camp. After lunch we headed to Sioux Falls to see the falls and we walked around downtown. Ran to the bike shop, grocery store and hardware store to stock up.
