A very Specific Ocean!

Today we made it to our furthest part of the trip outbound! The Pacific Ocean! Can’t get any further west, and not much further south without leaving the country.

Since we had wedding festivities to attend, and some urban driving to do, we left early and hit the road right after breakfast. As we skirted LA traffic built steadily along with mountainous terrain which made driving fun, but The Melbaru (that’s what we are calling Melissa’s car now) performed without issue. Temperatures dropped as we approached the coast which helped.

Once we were parked and set up at our first urban RV park (literally borders the freeway) we walked to the beach, and then got together with Emily and Bryan who were fresh off their camping trip in Yosemite to the kickoff cocktail hour for Jacob and Kathrine.
