Because of last night sleeping in a flop house next to a bar with the concomitant loud people coming in at 3:30 am. Then back out to sea again! I did better this time but still feel crummy. But had pulsing neck and head pain before boarding. Wonder if it was the exhaust fumes I kept smelling.

Kelly's View Motel has a nice view and is in very good repair. It has nice soap and it does have shampoo, tells you something. And there are Werther's Originals on the bureau lol.

Out of socks again. Would love to see the Cabot Trail again but not by forcing myself. Friday is Canada Day, most things will be closed, must check customs. Rest and laundry day or go home 5 days early?Read more

Saw 2 rabbits fighting this morning. Must be tons of little wildlife up here no one notices. Lots of hummingbirds at the restaurant's feeders.

The lock on the car top carrier is rapidly breaking down. I smelled more fumes coming over so I moved my saddlebags into the trailer. Doing that was tiring. Heading home.Read more

Didn't even make an entry for the laundry stop in Antigonish. I'm ready for riding to be over. Besides, trying to get Canadian coins with no cash was a nightmare.

Was cool this morning because I was in and out of clouds. In town it was sunny and pretty warm. Here temp is nice but sun has baked the highway very hot.Read more

Un freaking believable. At the last gas station I emptied my gas cans because I won't need them any more. And then... one exit short! No freaking way! WTF. The bike ran out after going less than 100 miles where it's normally 120. I sure hope it was just because of the area I just went through.

On Google maps the area around this city is colored green for many miles. What I drove through was a huge plain at the end of the Bay of Fundy. And the wind gusts were unreal. I had to slow down from 110 kph (70) to like 80 kph (55) because I was worried about keeping the bike in my lane. The gusts were so intense I couldn't keep my head looking forward. Interestingly it didn't affect the bike nearly as much. I just played it up so I'd get the attention of cars coming up on me (their speed was 50% faster than me.)

Calais is not a nice town. Most of the downtown buildings are empty. The houses nearby are not in great shape. But there's a Walmart!

Highway is getting a little congested for my taste. Besides my neck and shoulders need a break. This is a Thai place next to a big Cabela's. It's hard to eat well-rounded meals on the road, which is how I chose not to go to the pie restaurant.Read more
