Woohoo pictures!?? so we went to the place where Marie Antoinette had her hamlet house as they say, and there was a lake and all the fish congregated by the people. It was crazy all I could think was WHERES MY NET! Could have been like in the bible, just casted the net and there were too many and they busted out the sides ??. • The LONG train south

    June 5, 2015 in France ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

So, we left our amazing friend Ingrid on Friday morning at the butt crack of dawn ? and we took a train due south down to the town of Albi. The train ride was supposed to be 7 hours long...but 1hour into it, the train stops because if "technical difficulties" at least that's what the people in the train cabin with us translated for us. They were very nice, Polynesian people from a place near Australia called Wallis and Futuna. A French colony apparently. But anyway so the train gets delayed for 2 hours. Not too mention it was like a sauna ?? so hot! They ended up giving us free food boxes cuz of the extended time. Eventually we finally made it, I think I had to peel myself off the seat since I was glued with sweat lol. Adventures adventures, gotta take them as they come. Cest La Vie!Read more

  • Albi!

    June 6, 2015 in France ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

So we have been here 2 days and its been non stop fun! We got off the train and Jeanna (our friend we just met, who is related to Ruthie duke) took us over to this brother and sisters house in their hall to go swimming with her 3 daughters. After we finished swimming we were fed a 6 COURSE meal :-O complete with wine of course. It was absolutely delicious and the friends were so nice and it was lots of fun. I didn't really understand most of what was said but the food was great and the weather was perfect. The pictures of the house and view is from where we are staying with the friend. After that on Saturday we went to another brother and sisters house who had a viewing of the June broadcast in French ?? thankfully I watched it in English before hand LOL. afterwards it was a regular old goodie night with lots of food and laughing and then games afterward. Even got to show the brother there on google earth where we lived. Was funny seeing my house and kingdom hall from France ?? oh and all the face cards n the deck are different letters...kinda threw me off big time LOLRead more

  • CIAO VENEZIA (hello venice)

    June 12, 2015 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

We finally made it to Italy and it is almost like an out of body experience. On the plane from France as we flew over the French alps and into Italy I felt this feeling of joy run over me and since then I've just been so very excited to be here. Trying my best to use my Italian skills every chance I get. We arrived on Thursday, chilled out and then Friday went to the beach by ferry from Venice to the island of lido. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and perfect weather, and the water was so clear and the perfect temperature. We ate yummy food in Venice after the beach. Then Saturday we went back and walked a complete circle around the city, doing a LOT of shopping! Seeing the beautiful famous Murano glassworks and the unending handmade items and of course Italian Leather! 😍 of which the fragrance poured into the streets, mixed with the smells of pizza, pasta, wine, cannolis and gelato of every flavor! All in all I've enjoyed Venice very much and hope to see more in the coming days before we leave for Florence! Enjoy the pictures friends 😊😊😊Read more

  • First Bus tour

    June 18, 2015 in Italy ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

(San Gimignano, Chianti, Siena & Monteriggione)
We took a bus tour on Thursday and it took us to the aforementioned 4 places. San Gimignano was a quaint medieval town. We had a wine tasting in Chianti (of course) along with a delicious lunch. Then we went to Siena which I've always wanted to go to...I'd call it the city of churches as there were at least 20 there haha...also a really cool piazza (square) where they have a horse race twice a year. the last place we went, monteriggione was a tiny place of only 42 residents built on a huge fortress. It was a beautiful tour with lots to take pictures of!Read more

  • Second Bus tour

    June 20, 2015 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Welcome to the most BEAUTIFUL place on earth!

    ❤CINQUE TERRE!❤

2 words that will forever epitomize all things beautiful in my mind. On Saturday we went on our second bus tour to the cinque terre, an area made up of 5 very small towns where the houses are built into the mountains and trail along the beautiful crystal clear waters of an inlet in the Mediterranean sea. This is the perfect combination of land and sea, flora and fauna, mountain and beach side. As we ride along the water I begin to wonder whether what I was seeing was real or just a dream because the beauty was almost unbearable. Words such as breathtaking, awesome, marvelous and brilliant come to mind when describing this scene. I hope that you enjoy these pictures!Read more
