Iceland here I come

I'm so looking forward to visit and explore Iceland for the next two weeks. Amazing landscapes, glaciers, vulcanos, hot springs and hopefully northern lights 🤗

Just arrived in Reykjavik and took a little walk around. Today I'm staying at KEX hostel. I really missed the hostel vibe 😁
What it's like driving here

This morning I made my way up to the Westfjords. First it was super nice, then it got a little bit chilly and only a couple of minutes later there was snow ❄️☃️

It was absolutely worth it to drive almost three hours on gravel road to get to the westernmost point of Iceland and Europe.

On my way to Dynjandi I came across this nice little waterfall.

Reykjavik No. 2

Today I'm back in Reykjavik to collect my favorite travel buddy. Together we are circling Iceland for the next eight days.
Thingvellir National Park

First stop was the Thingvellir National Park and Almannagjá. The length of the Almannagjá gorge is eight kilometers and one of the interesting places where you can see tectonic plates drift apart.
Gysir

Second stop on the Golden Circle are the Gysirs. The are around 20 Gysirs and one of them gets the full attention every 6 minutes 😁
Gullfoss

Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall) is an iconic waterfall of Iceland. The water plummets down 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon which walls reach up to 70 meters in height.
