First of all, I have now idea why they call that place Dead Horse Point 😀 but that place was amazing.
While driving down to the valley there where some massive sandstorms but luckily in the valley or was not that bad and I had a clear sight over the Monument Valley
I finally arrived at my motel and I have to say what a fantastic day. I drove about 620 miles (1000km) and saw already so many incredible places on my first day 💪
First stop for the day was the impressive Glen Canyon Dam holding back the water of the Colorado River.
Yesterday I found the Dead Horse Point 😁 today the Horseshoe Bend.
Walking through the Antelope Canyon was like walking on another planet. The color and formation of the sand stone is just unbelievable and one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
Yesterday I saw some impressive canyons allready. But now I know why they call it the Grand Canyon 😁
I stayed the night in a nice little motel close to Route 66. The next morning I enjoyed a two hour drive along the historic Route 66.
Before driving to Las Vegas I made a quick stop at the Hoover Dam and enjoyed the view. The dam itself is about 220 meter high and looks very impressive while standing on it 😁
