Another off-piste walk, across the hills from Sobrado to Melide. Not too difficult and only 17kms.

We're back on the busy Camino Frances, but in a very quiet little albergue.

Traveler Pulpo - boiled octopus, and a specialty of Melide. I finally plucked up the courage to try it. Didn't love it, didn't hate it.

Another long walk in Spain Traveler

We walked about 25kms today, along a mix of roads and forest paths. It was a bit hillier than we expected, but not particularly difficult.

We're staying in a small albergue, where we have a nice room. We're about 29kms from Santiago. We originally planned to walk this in two easy days, but we've now decided to walk the whole distance tomorrow. This will give us an extra day to relax in Santiago.

I did a quick tally of our walking distances over the past three weeks. The total is around 365kms, plus another 29 tomorrow. Not bad, considering that we lost a couple of days through switching routes and had three forced rest days when I was sick.Read more

Santiago - we've arrived!

We reached Santiago this afternoon. We're very tired and looking forward to a lie in tomorrow morning.

This has been a great adventure! I'll post some more photos tomorrow.
